"Testing older generations allows you to be sure that you're dealing with DNA results that are closer to, or the same as, your ancestor, without the possibility of mutations introduced in subsequent generations." DNAeXplained - Genetic Genealogy, October 16, 2016
I am making these results available for family members who use DNA as a research tool.
The FIRST CHART reflects the generations of the Meehan (Heavenrich) - Freeman family. Generations 1 through four cover a time from the late 1700s to 1971, the death year of Gertie, the last Meehan sibling. Generation 5 represents the grandchildren of Charles and Hester. I am the only grandchild still alive.
The SECOND CHART shows the centimorgans (DNA measure) shared between other DNA testers and me. They are grouped by Most Recent Common Ancestor (MRCA) related to me.
Irish DNA matches for Charles Meehan's parents have not been omitted - There Are None.
Charles's DNA is reflected in the Heavenrich/Himmerlreich and Klink/Beck/Lutz family matches.
Send me a note if you have questions, concerns, or comments or want to add to this information.
